Lyric Analysis
The first verse is clearly describing the scene of the breakup and how heartbreaking it is to have to do that to someone "This morning I made the call, the one that ends it all. Hanging up I wanted to cry, but dammit this wells gone dry" The song is both abstract and autobiographical as it describes emotional events and uses metaphors and similes to describe what it felt like to be trapped in a tornado. If you have been in a shitty relationship yourself, you will have an emotional connection to this song.
Obviously the chorus repeats itself, but in the phrase "Who's say whats for me to say? Who's to say whats for me to be? Who's to say whats for me to do? 'cause a big nothin' it'll be for me" I suppose that could be repetition
In the final verse he does mention some sort of resolution, but Dave Mustaine doesn't really write happy songs so this one is quite ambiguous. He mentioned a kiss of death and tucking someone into bed implying that he wanted to imagine some sort of ending for it all.
This is a relationship song so I don't really know how to relate any of these to the song
Mustaine claims that he is trapped in the eye of a tornado which is how he feels in this toxic relationship. He uses this simile to describe the way he feels in this awful situation.
