L3 Unit 1 Assignment

For this here assignment I created a track in logic using the following features
Bussing
MIDI Software instruments
Logic loops
Automation
Basic use of effects (reverb, delay)

I started of dead slow, I couldn't figure out where to start and I couldn't seem to get the ball rolling but once I got going its was as easy as anything.

This is the MIDI instrument I used to create the ending to this track. I just played a simple piano thing and got this



The track is very rudimentary as I used the bare minimum required to complete this assignment. I was familiar with the logic drummer and made sure I put it to good, simplistic, and effective use in this track. I let the drums drag out until the end of the track which led to it being 2 minutes long which was a lazy strategy but it worked regardless. This would be the first proper track I have released on Soundcloud since My EP on Level 2 last year so it felt nice to reprise myself and put something on there once again. Despite the quality of the track, Logic is massive - and it becomes far more useful with the more you become familiar with it. I do think i am getting better at using Logic and it is a fantastic tool for us music students

Throughout the course of this project I have done a lot of research in this project so today I will show and explain all the research I've done in this project. What you see here the tabs for "Enter Sandman" and "Lucretia". L3 Unit 5 & 6

This will be my on going diary for units 5 and 6 dedicated to the creation, recording, and mixing of my music video.   For this assignment, I need to write a song, record it in logic, mix it, record a music video, edit the music video, and release it on YouTube. The song that my band have chosen to recording a music video for is "Take it to your Grave" which is a song about the character named "Conquest" from the comic book TV adaptation "Invincible". In the season 3 finale, Invincible faces planet Viltrums most feared warrior "Conquest" who batters invincible from pillar to post. During the fight, Conquest opens up to our hero and discusses his feelings of loneliness and isolation from his own race and how he doesn't even get his own name, only a purpose. Unit 8: Week 1

 So far i have learned how to put a guitar into logic using an interface and how to record my guitar parts into logic. I choose to play a harmony from the 1986 track by metallica "Master of Puppets". i chose this because it is a very good solo and it will get me into harmonizing which i had never done before  First of all, i had put the interface in control of the sound by changing the output and input to the interface. I then changed the input and output in logic to the interface. I then plugged a guitar cable into the interface but there was no sound on it so i had to change the interface to channel 2 so the system could hear my guitar. I checked a tab for master of puppets and changed the tempo to 106 which orchestrates the speed of the song. I had then started recording the two guitar tracks which harmonized with each other and after hundreds and hundreds of takes, i finally got the perfect harmony.
